From Hearth to Horizon Privacy Policy

Veriscribe Analytics ("we", "us") publishes From Hearth to Horizon (the "game"), Android packagecom.veriscribeanalytics.fromhearthtohorizon. This policy explains the information used to run the game, save progress, provide optional online features and respond to support requests.

Last updated · 5 October 2026

Game progress is saved on your device. Google Play Games cloud backup and rewarded and interstitial advertising are planned for release. The sections below distinguish those optional services from local gameplay. Children are included in the intended audience.

1. Information stored for gameplay

The game stores your chosen character name, inventory, quest and tutorial progress, repairs, unlocked areas, character levels and skills, equipment, in-game time, settings, map identifier, character position and changes to trees, ore and farming plots. Use a nickname rather than a real name, email address or other personal information.

These records let you continue your game. Local backup and temporary save files help recover interrupted saves. Saves contain identifiers and values; they do not contain photographs, recordings, screenshots or copies of the game's artwork and audio. An in-game map position describes the fictional world, not your physical location.

The game does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, messages or precise device location for gameplay. We do not operate a separate gameplay analytics or advertising profile database for these local saves.

2. Google Play Games and cloud progress

When available and connected, Google Play Games authenticates your gaming profile and stores a copy of your progress using its Saved Games service. The game uses the Play Games player identifier to associate saves with the correct profile. Save identifiers, revision information and timestamps help compare device and cloud progress.

Google processes the connected profile information and the uploaded save to provide authentication and cloud storage. The game does not ask you to give us your Google password. Local gameplay does not require a separate account with Veriscribe Analytics.

Google's service may also process technical information such as your device and operating system, IP address, service interactions and diagnostics to operate, secure and improve its services. Its own privacy policy explains this processing and available account controls.

Cloud backup requires an eligible Google account, service availability and connectivity. Local saving can continue offline. Uninstalling removes local app data; only progress that has reached the cloud can be restored after reinstalling. Different saves may require a choice before one replaces another. Google account and parental restrictions may limit availability for younger players.

3. Advertising and privacy choices

We plan to use Google AdMob for optional rewarded advertisements and interstitial advertisements at suitable breaks. Advertising is not enabled in the current development build. A release containing advertising must apply the audience and consent controls described here before requesting ads.

When advertising is enabled, Google and the permitted advertising providers involved in serving an ad may process network information such as an IP address, approximate location inferred from that address, device and app information, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic information. These support ad delivery, measurement, reliability and fraud prevention. Depending on permitted settings and consent, advertising services may also process resettable device or advertising identifiers. Child and unknown-age restrictions apply as described below. Our quest and inventory save is not provided to AdMob for advertising.

Where required, the game will present privacy choices before requesting ads and provide a way to revisit those choices. Refusing personalized advertising does not mean that every permitted non-personalized ad uses no data; limited technical processing may still occur.

4. Children and parents

Our intended audience includes children under 13 and older players. The game's store content rating describes its content and is separate from the privacy protections that apply to children.

We do not ask children to provide a real name, contact details, photographs or a public profile to play the local game. If age screening is introduced for online services or advertising, we will use a neutral screen and limit the information to what is needed for those protections.

Before ads are enabled, advertisements served to children or players whose age is unknown must use Google Play Families self-certified ad SDK versions, child-appropriate content, and no interest-based advertising or remarketing. Android advertising identifiers and the restricted persistent device identifiers must not be transmitted for those players. Any required parental consent or additional restrictions will apply before optional services collect information beyond what applicable rules permit.

A parent or guardian can contact contact@veriscribeanalytics.com with questions or to request review or deletion of information under our control concerning their child. Please do not send passwords, identification documents or unnecessary information about a child. If we learn that information was collected contrary to applicable child privacy requirements, we will investigate and delete or restrict it as appropriate.

5. Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the reported issue and maintain the necessary support record. Our email service provider processes those messages to deliver and store correspondence. Please avoid including sensitive information or a child's identifying details.

6. Use and disclosure

We use information for gameplay, saving and restoring progress, permitted advertising, support, security and compliance. Relevant service providers include Google for Play Games and AdMob, permitted advertising providers when ads are enabled, and our email provider for support. These parties process information according to their services and applicable terms.

We do not sell player save files or use them to build advertising profiles. We may disclose information under our control when required by law or necessary to address fraud, protect users or defend legal rights. We will update this policy before materially changing its uses.

7. Retention and deletion

Local saves remain in app storage until replaced or removed. Clearing the game's app data or uninstalling normally removes them from that device. This does not delete a previously uploaded Play Games save, and a later cloud restore may bring that progress back.

You can manage or delete the game's Play Games data through Google's available account and Play Games controls. Disabling a connection does not by itself delete information already held by Google.

We retain support messages only for resolving and following up on the request and any necessary security or legal obligations. You may request deletion of information under our control using the contact address below. Google and other providers retain their own service records according to their policies; we cannot delete your Google account on your behalf.

8. Security and international processing

Local progress is held in the game's app storage. Online service connections use the security mechanisms provided by the relevant SDK and service. We limit information to the needs described here. No storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security.

Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.

9. Your requests and policy updates

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or make a complaint to your local privacy authority. Contact us to exercise rights concerning information under our control. We may need proportionate verification to avoid disclosing or deleting another person's information.

We will update this page as the game's features or data practices change and revise the date above. Where required, material changes will also be communicated within the game.
